For you and your ideas, sin soaked sensitivities,
Stuck to my hip, desirous and clammy.
With the memory of sex, or hope for another,
Moment that won’t feel so lost.

You found revelation; you found it too easy,
Not knowing that only abstraction holds beauty.
For the gaps in the light, for the stillness in moving,
The smell of your sweat as you’re coming close to me.
And I wait for insight, in nakedness shown,
For the things you’re afraid to pretend you don’t know.

Into names on our bodies, blood on our skin,
Eyes that have watched us destroy what’s within.
